SCORPION BITE CAN BE EASILY MANAGED

Scorpions are small creatures found in the deserts and tropical regions of the world . If a scorpion bites you , you can manage the sting yourself in many cases but poisonous scorpion sting needs medical attention and in many cases hospitalization . In many cases they are not fatal but the symptoms need to be identified timely if the effectors are children or pets because venom spreads in their body quickly . Scorpion bite can badly effect the skin . Normally it results in pain , loss of sensations and local inflammation . The part of scorpion which contains poison is called Teslon .

CAUSES
Normally scorpions bite when people are engaged in outdoor activities like camping . Scorpions are found in the clothes , shoes and bedding of these persons . When they wear their shoes and clothes scorpions get into their body and bite them . Similarly when they go into their bed they become victim of scorpions and transfer their poison into the effected person . They are also found in the beaches and rivers and may bite divers as their defence .

SIGNS
Many people do not get aware of scorpion bite and so should be able to recognize the signs of bite
The effects could be different according to the type of scorpion which could be burning , pain or inflammation
Allergy , scratching , swelling of the face and lips
Local swelling
Voice box may also be affected

TREATMENT
Stay calm
Wipe any blood or venom around the wound
Wash the affected area with soap and water
Apply cool compress on the affected area
Apply a pad or sterile dressing on the wound
Avoid cutting or sucking the wound
Take regular pain killers
Antiallergics reduce scratching
Keep on watching the affected area
Regular checkup by the doctor
Tetanus vaccination after 5 years

  1. my worst night mere,was wen i was at the age of 9years old,i get bite by a scorpion,it was so painful and swell,i prayed that that will never happen to me again...

  2. Sometimes the scorpion bite gets very dangerous in various terms. So thanks for giving out the tips which can manage. It mostly helps to have a brief idea regarding it.
